BAM!Fest | DANCE - On Your Feet!

The Mahaffey Theater

There will be 680 children! There are 7 different dance-style stations including Bollywood, Country line-dancing, hip-hop, and Latin, and jazz. There will be a DJ and dance party in the Ballroom upstairs – where you can just dance with the kids. There will be a stilt walker and other fun happenings.
Box lunches will be provided. There will be a discussion about Arts Education for children over lunch.
Volunteers: arrive by 9am to help organize and set up the various stations. The students arrive at 10:30am and the event goes until 1pm. Tasks include handing out lunches and water or helping with the costume making, and more. You will be emailed with your tasks beforehand.
For observers of the program in action – tell the check-in table that you are observers when you arrive.
They are looking forward to having a very action-packed and fun-filled day in the beautiful Mahaffey Plaza. Dancing encouraged!

Join us as we hear what's new from Molly Robison, Annual Giving Manager for Tampa Bay Watch. Molly joined Tampa Bay Watch in September 2021 as a member of the Development team. As a fairly recent transplant from Colorado, Molly is delighted to retire her snow shovel and start enjoying the beautiful Florida weather and Tampa Bay.
With a BS in Business Administration, Molly has worked in the nonprofit community with a strong focus on fundraising, event planning, administration, and donor relations throughout her career. Since arriving in Florida, Molly’s newest hobby is long walks on the beach while taking pictures of sunsets.
About Tampa Bay Watch: Since 1993 the organization has been dedicated to fostering a healthy Tampa Bay watershed through community-driven restoration projects, education programs, and outreach initiatives. They train and organize citizen volunteers, students, at-risk youth, and civic organizations to participate in environmental projects, through marine science labs and immersive field experiences, while heightening community awareness of the fragile nature and importance of the environment.
TBW's programs aim to educate everyone about the Tampa Bay estuary, empowering and encouraging them to act as environmental stewards of the bay. Learn more here.

Come see member Stacie Steinke in her show Polyester, Please! It's a musical trip through the 1970s, led by top cover-band singers of the day: "Janeece Joplain," Carolyn Queen," "Brady Partridge," and MC-ed by DJ "Roy LeCroix." Each of these singers brings life to the hits that made the 70s great! Audience interaction with a special music/history trivia game, sing-along, dancing and costume contest. February is American Heart Month; we wear red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease. AHA turns 100 this year! Join us as we learn how the American Heart Association is working on the eradication of heart disease and stroke and why it's so important for women. We'll also get a special lesson on the new technique for CPR.

Courtney has more than 24 years of experience in Public Health, Government Relations and Community Development.
Through her work in Tampa Bay for AHA, she works with trusted community partners on the implementation of AHA’s proprietary initiatives and programming to address social determinants of health, create population-level, sustainable change and adopt policy, system and environmental changes that improve the health of Tampa Bay;
Focus areas include:
• eliminating tobacco/vaping utilization;
• women’s health priorities;
• community readiness for cardiac emergencies;
• nutrition security and food access;
• the prevention and reduction of chronic diseases; especially high blood pressure
• health care access and equality
She works to make AHA’s 2024 Impact Goal a reality: Every person deserves the opportunity for a full, healthy life.
